"The Ten Myths of Internet Art" discusses a lot of good points on an art form that has been around for a while, but is just really beginning to be noticed. Jon Ippolito makes ten great points about internet art. He discusses various points that most people as well as myself did not know about internet art. After just being introduced to internet art through my new media classes a lot of what Ippolito says makes sense.

Phones Lost in Action
Starting in May 2008 I have gone through 5 phones lost in action and finally received my upgrade last weekend.
My goal is to still have this phone until my next upgrade...
Phone #1 LG EnV2
Status: RIP
Status: RIP
This phone was lost in a tragic sledding accident in Dec 2008 where it rested overnight in a creek before I found it. By the time I found it the next day it was too late...
Phone #2 and #3 LG Chocolate
Status: #2 RIP; #3 Working but not very functional
I purchased my first Chocolate off of Ebay as a replacement until I could get my next upgrade. A couple weeks after using it the phone started randomly turning off and eventually never came back on. My ex roommate had a spare Chocolate she let me have. The touch sensored send button had already stopped working. This phone lasted a while but eventually the touch sensored clear button stopped working. As an avid texter this got annoying real fast. I had to restart my texts if I misspelled something or just leave it as is. This is when I received:
Phone #3 LG UX245
Status: RIP; but passed while having the best time of it's life
My other ex roommate gave me her mom's old phone which she had because she too always has phone troubles. This phone might have lasted the longest but unfortunately one night I dropped it in a pitcher of beer...tragic.
Phone #4 Samsung Juke
Status: Working but I think someone might murder this phone...if not I will
This is my friend's old phone...it needs no explanation. This phone is about an inch wide and my be the dumbest phone ever made, although it is a very good conversation starter. I only used this phone for about two months until I could get my long awaited upgrade in Jan 2010.
Phone #6 Samsung Rogue
Status: CHINCHILLIN!
